Network
Volunteers to Converge on the Capitol in 2008
for a Smokefree SD-Get On The Bus
The
Smokefree South Dakota Day at the Capitol 2008
will team together public health organizations
from across the state to push for smokefree
legislation in 2008. Volunteers from across
South Dakota will meet with their local elected
officials and many officials from different
areas of the state to encourage legislators to
support a smokefree SD.
The SD
Tobacco Free Kids Network and our health
organization partners will be busing/car pooling
smokefree advocates into Pierre on Feb. 11, 2008
from across the state. Current bus routes
include: Watertown and Brookings to Pierre;
Sioux Falls, Mitchell and Chamberlain to Pierre;
Spearfish and Rapid City to Pierre; and a
potential route from Vermillion and Yankton to
Pierre with ride share available in other areas
across the state.
